No visitors or mail please.
The Friends have no access to, or control of, the building, which is currently only partially in use, as a slot machine lounge by Merkur Casino UK.
The freehold has been sold to Ruach City Church; the original headlease held by Mecca Bingo (Top Rank) has been cancelled; and Merkur’s original lease has been replaced.
The Friends of Streatham Hill Theatre is a volunteer-run charity campaigning to save this ‘sleeping beauty’ for the benefit of the community.
We are registered in England as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) Number CE024993 and Registered Charity Number 1193643.
We are members of NCVO ncvo.org.uk

Trustee: Jon Harrison
Retired Marketing Manager
Jon Harrison has recently retired after nearly forty years working for the Forbidden Planet chain of Comic, SF and Pop Culture stores. The company experienced massive growth and development in that period, driving Jon to acquire a wide and diverse range of business skills – including working with publishers, the BBC, movie companies and toy manufacturers to host celebrity in-store events and ‘pop up’ shops at conventions.
Originally from Liverpool, Jon has lived in Clapham, Balham and Streatham for over forty years and is enjoying spending his retirement with his collection of black and white horror movies and scratchy punk records.
